Anushka Sharma was spotted cheering for her husband Virat Kohli and team India on Sunday. Anushka along with Ritika Sajdeh was present at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium during the highly-anticipated T20 World Cup fixture between India and Pakistan.

They were joined by Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife Dhanashree Verma and others. Now, a picture of the WAGs has surfaced online. Here, Anushka Sharma could be seen rocking a light-blue-coloured oversized shirt.

The actress paired it with a pair of blue denim jeans as she posed for the camera. Dhanashree Verma was all smiles as she sported a blue top and black jeans. Whereas, Ritika Sajdeh could be spotted far towards the back with a white shirt.

It seems like the unwavering support from the wife gang paid off for India, as they sealed a narrow 6-run victory. The nail-biting thriller proved to be a rollercoaster of emotions for the supporting wives. The drama began after Virat Kohli lost his wicket to Naseem Shah scoring just four runs off three balls. Anushka Sharma was visibly upset after her husband’s dismissal, evident from a now-viral picture on social media. In the photograph, the Bollywood actress could be seen closing her eyes in disbelief.

Virat Kohli’s departure wasn’t the only shock that India suffered against Pakistan. Other batting stars including Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav also failed to deliver against the 2022 finalists. A partnership from Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel helped India to a 119-run total. In the next half, Jasprit Bumrah stepped up for the Men in Blue to seal a narrow victory.

After India secured the win, Ritika Sajdeh could be seen overjoyed with emotions as she clapped for her husband Rohit Sharma and the team. The reaction was shared by a fan on X, who wrote, “Rohit Sharma’s own wife Ritika Sajdeh is really happy as her husband just led India to a famous win over Pakistan. Well played again.” The couple’s daughter Samaira could also be spotted in the frame.

Having won both their T20 World Cup 2024 fixtures, India have now set themselves up in pole position for a playoff spot. They will take on the USA on June 12.
