Ever since its announcement, Leo has had its share of controversies. From the cancellation of the music launch to protests by junior dancers, the film, before its release, was in the headlines for unwanted reasons. But, after its release, the film took the box office by storm.
Being claimed as a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe, the film opened to mixed reviews with many claiming it as LCU’s weakest. Despite these, the film has emerged as the highest-grossing Tamil movie of the year with Rs 540 crore under its kitty.
The makers of the film, Seven Screen Studios shared a deleted scene from the film that has helped audiences understand the movie with more context.
In a recent revelation, director Lokesh Kanagaraj has offered insights into the intricate narrative of the film. He emphasized that the flashback depicting Leo, as narrated by Mansoor Ali Khan, is open to interpretation, as it represents his perspective rather than an absolute truth. This perspective may differ from the version presented by Parthiban, who serves as the film’s protagonist.
With the fans wondering what might be the perspective, the producers shared this scene on X. “Since you asked for it Here you go! Perspective scene footage perfect ah irukaa?” read the caption.

Internet, after this, got divided with some mocking the makers thinking it was an attempt to save their faces from a weak screenplay strengthened by Vijay himself. Others, however, got intrigued by this and called it a genius approach by Kanagaraj.
“Sir, Release the full uncut version on OTT..adhu podhum..till then let everyone find their perspective by watching it again & again,” read one comment.
Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, stars Vijay, Trisha Krishnan and Sanjay Dutt. It is the third film of the LCU after Kaithi – starring Karthi – and Vikram of Kamal Hassan, Vijay Sethupathy and Fahadh Faasil.
