Ratan Tata, the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, died at the age of 86 in Mumbai late Wednesday night. As Tata breathed his last, many are asking as to who will take the reigns from him as he had no children. According to reports, it could be Maya, Leah and Neville Tata.
Maya, Leah and Neville are the children of Noel Tata, Ratan Tata’s half brother. Noel is the son of Naval Tata (from his second marriage) and has been involved in the Tata Group for years.
Reports say Ratan Tata had endorsed the appointment of Maya, Leah and Neville as trustees of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and the Sir Ratan Tata Trust, which are the primary philanthropic arms of the Tata Trusts. They hold board positions in five of the group’s key philanthropic organisations.
The three are being seen as the next generation of the Tata group. Here’s more about them:

She’s currently Vice President at The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL).According to reports, Leah has played a key role in expanding the Tata group’s presence in the global hospitality industry.
Maya Tata: Maya started her career at Tata Capital as an analyst and has been working her way up in the company. She has studied at Bayes Business School and Warwick University. Maya has also worked at Tata Digital, and played an instrumental role in the launch of the Tata Neu app.
