Maruti has stopped making Baleno since last month and plans to launch a more expensive replacement by April.
New Delhi: As new hi-tech models from auto giants Hyundai, Chevrolet and Toyota hit the Indian car market this year, leading car maker Maruti plans to revamp the look of its luxury-segment car Baleno.
According to sources, the carmakers have stopped making its mid-sized Baleno since last month and plans to launch a more expensive replacement by April.
The company admitted it would launch a car this year to replace the Baleno but gave no time-frame.
Also the buzz in the market is that Maruti Esteem will be replaced by a new hi-tech version. However, Maruti officials are still hopeful that the sales are likely to grow even before it launched the renewed version.
