Only 638 declarations for a total overseas wealth totalling Rs 3,770 crore were made during the 90-day compliance window under the Black money and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015.

HYDERABAD: The transport department on Thursday issued orders amending the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Taxation Act on refund of tax in respect of vehicles covered by life tax under Fourth Schedule.
The government issued orders in respect of vehicles for which lumpsum tax or life time tax, has been paid under the Act, a refund of tax at the rates specified should be payable by the licensing officer in respect of motor vehicles removed to any other state on transfer of ownership, change of address or when the vehicle is damaged within six years beyond repairs with the permission of the registering authority. The orders will come into force with immediate effect.The conditions:

1) Evidence of payment of lumpsum tax shall be produced to the satisfaction of the licensing officer.

3) No refund shall be payable in respect of motor vehicle for a period during which it was detained for contravention of any law, order or regulations prohibiting or regulating the transport of goods or passengers or persons.
