Bangalore: Nadeem Kashmiri, the HSBC employee allegedly involved in the BPO fraud case would be subjected to polygraph test (Lie detector test) in view of his "constantly changing revelations" during interrogation, a senior COD official said on Saturday.
"It is necessary to subject Kashmiri to this test as he has been constantly changing his statements during interrogation", Sanjay Vir Singh, Deputy Inspector General of police, COD, told PTI here.
"He will undergo the polygraph test at Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) here on July 3. In case, we are not satisified, he will also undergo the narcoanalysis test so that the truth can come out", he said.
Singh said since the case had international ramifications, help of Interpol would be sought to "verify the international telephone numbers, the accused had contacted".
Kashmiri, an employee of the HSBC BPO arm was arrested on June 27 after the company lodged a complaint with the cyber crime unit of COD naming Kashmiri in the fraud, involving stealing of confidential data of about 20 customers and making fraudulent transactions, siphoning off £ 2,33,000.
