New Delhi: Telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Wednesday launched the thinnest model of BlackBerry in association with wireless solutions provider Research In Motion (RIM).
The quad-band and GPS-enabled model has been prices at Rs 31,990 in the Indian market. It also has a media player and a microSD expandable memory slot for storing music and videos.
The press release said that features like E-mail, text, instant messaging, web browser, organiser, multimedia and corporate data applications makes it an ideal communication tool for the country's dynamic business environment.
"We are very excited to bring the innovative and feature-rich Blackberry 8800 to India for our high-end customers," news agency PTI quoted Bharti Airtel Mobile Services President Sanjay Kapoor as saying.
The model also offers a ultra-bright, high resolution (320x240) landscape colour display, light-sensing technology that automatically optimises the screen, trackball and keyboard lighting for indoor, outdoor and dark environments.
