Suniel Shetty is counted among the most successful stars of Bollywood today. In his career of more than 32 years, Sunil Shetty has acted in over 100 superhit films. But do you know that in the initial days of his career, the actor got rejected by several heroines because of his dark complexion? No heroine of the 1990s was ready to work with him.
Sunil Shetty started his acting career in 1992 with the action film Balwaan, alongside Divya Bharti. But before this, Sunil Shetty was rejected by many heroines. But the beautiful 90’s superstar Divya Bharti agreed to do a film with him, and from here, Sunil Shetty became a superstar.
Earlier, Sunil Shetty himself mentioned this in an interview. Sunil Shetty had said that he came to Bollywood in 1990 to become a hero. It was the period when the image of the hero was quite different in the minds of people. People did not want to see any dark-skinned heroes.
For this reason, even directors did not cast such people. Sunil Shetty once said that many heroines rejected him because of his dark skin complexion. They openly said that they would not work with an actor with such a skin tone. However, Sunil Shetty did not give up and kept fighting.
