The News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2024 are finally here, and it will be a glittering ceremony on March 9 in Mumbai. This year’s Reel Awards 2024 will celebrate some of the best performances and movies that released in theaters and on OTT between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023.
Soon, you will be able to vote for your favourite films and performance on the Showsha Reel Awards 2024 microsite. And, it is going to be a tough choice, considering Bollywood had a memorable 2023. You will have to choose between Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Sunny Deol, and Karan Johar, among many others.
We witnessed a box-office blow up with record being shattered by Pathaan, Jawan, Gadar 2 and Animal. Apart from the films, the industry also witnessed some memorable performances on the big and small screen. Be it the dazzling performances by the cast of Jubilee or performances by Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone and many others in several films. Which of these performers will take home the awards? You’ll know on March 9.

Last year’s Showsha Reel Awards were presented to Shershaah, Brahmastra and The Kashmir Files. Sidharth Malhotra won the Best Actor (Popular Choice) for Shershaah, while Kiara Advani was honoured with the Star of the Year award for her memorable performances in Shershaah, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, and Govinda Naam Mera. Kriti Sanon took home the award for Best Actress, for her Mimi, a performance for which she also won the National Award. Meanwhile, Ayan Mukherjee won Best Director for Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva. The Best Film award went to Shershaah.
