Juliet Coutinho, the Principal of RGS School in Ulhasnagar, was recently honoured with the Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Gold Medal by the Global Economic Progress and Research Association in Bengaluru. This prestigious award is presented annually by the organization to recognize exceptional contributions in the field of education. Notably, two more teachers from Maharashtra were also selected for this esteemed accolade.
Coutinho was specifically recognized with the Best Teacher Award. Vijay Kadam, the president of the ‘Ek Haat Samticha’ organization in Ulhasnagar, visited the school to felicitate Principal Coutinho for her remarkable achievement.
The award is traditionally bestowed on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi.
It acknowledges individuals who have excelled in various domains such as health, education, research, industry, and social work, while making significant contributions to society. The Global Economic Progress and Research Association actively engages in fostering the development of trade and industry within the country.
