The international carmaker Skoda has finally unveiled the tech-loaded version of Mk3 Superb in the UK. It has been named as Sleeper Edition. It has been reported that the car will not be offered to the general public as it is introduced to celebrate the Mk3 series.
As per the internet details, the latest Skoda Superb Sleeper Edition shares similar footprints as L&K 4×4. However, the company has done some mechanical updates to make it stand out in the crowd.
Engine and Power Figures
The newly unveiled Mk3 Superb Sleeper Edition has been treated with an impressive 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. The tuned unit now generates a maximum power of 470 bhp and a peak torque of 661 Nm. These power figures are quite bigger compared to the standard version as the ongoing standard model only offers 270 bhp with 350 Nm of torque.
The power enhancement becomes possible after tuning the engine with a larger Garrett Powermax turbocharger and improved intercooler. Apart from this, the company has also updated the fuel system, while retaining the factory-fitted exhaust box. This makes the model look aesthetic with a unique sleeper look.
Suspension Setup
To make Superb Sleeper Edition more superior, the company has included the latest KW coilover suspension. Then newly added unit cuts off the ground clearance by 50mm. On the safety front, it gets AP Racing disc brakes with red six-pot callipers.
Colour, Exterior and Interior
The Sleeper Edition has been given a Royal Green Metallic paint scheme, featuring the signature style headlight setup, DRLs, and front grill. From inside, the cabin comes with luxurious Cognac leather upholstery, flaunting a long list of top-notch elements. The list includes a robust infotainment system with all wireless car connect technology, a two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, sleek AC vents and whatnot.
