The brand has reported that the service or feature is available in six European countries including Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Austria.

To provide a better digital services expirence to the customers, the Czech Republic car manufacturer Skoda has introduced e-payments methods for all ICE models. The newly released feature allows the driver to use the vehicle’s infotainment screen as a debit or credit card, allowing them to make e-payments at fuel stations.

It has been reported that the steps have been taken in partnership with Parkopedia, Mastercard, and the German FinTech company named Ryd. The feature only supports Skoda’s ICE models in the international market.

Here’s How Škoda’s In-Car Payment Works

As per the details shared by Skoda, the e-payment option has been listed in the car’s navigation. After selecting a fuel station, the vehicle’s navigation system automatically recognizes the selected station and gives a notification to the driver once it reaches the spot.

The driver can open the infotainment system, and enter the fuel quantity. Once the process of refueling is done, the payment can be made using the same display only.

Once the payment is made, the driver will receive the transaction notification on the MyŠkoda application, showing each and every detail about the payment and fuel station.
