Mahindra has launched a special edition offering of their popular SUV XUV500 in the form of the XUV500 Sportz Edition.
Based on the top-end W10 variant, it has been launched at a price tag of Rs 16.6 lakh for the manual transmission variant and Rs 17.6 lakh for the automatic transmission variant (all prices ex-showroom, Mumbai). Interestingly, the Indian automaker had launched the Sportz edition model for the previous generation XUV500 as well.
The changes include the addition of decals on the bonnet, door handles, roof rails, doors, and ORVMs. There's also a special badging on the C-pillar, dashboard and the key. The side profile is also complimented by a new wheel design contrasted by red brake callipers.
Other than this, the car gets the usual list of features as a W10 variant offering like reverse parking camera, climate control, cruise control, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers.
The car is powered by the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine which comes mated to a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
