'Pathetic': Internet Fumes Over Couple 'Using Dead Fly' To Avoid Paying At Restaurants
An X user posted how a couple allegedly carries a dead fly to the restaurant and adds it to their meals only to avoid paying the bill.

Amid a recent surge of complaints on social media detailing various food-related mishaps, a particularly unique and alarming incident has garnered attention. Customers have reported distressing experiences ranging from discovering a “human finger” in an ice cream tub to encountering “dead rats and bugs” in their meals, even at upscale restaurants. These incidents have sparked significant concerns regarding food safety and hygiene practices.

While it has raised major concerns regarding food preparation and packaging safety issues, there are reports alleging that a middle-aged couple deliberately contaminates their food. The reason behind their actions is likely to provoke anger.

An X (formerly Twitter) user, named Udit Bhandari, recently shared a disturbing revelation on the microblogging site. He recounted meeting a middle-aged couple at a party who disclosed a shocking habit. According to the user, they admitted to frequently dining at 5-star restaurants in Delhi/Gurgaon and bringing along a dead fly with them.

“Halfway into their meal they would quietly slip this into their food & then create a huge fuss over it. The management in a bid to placate them would either not charge for that dish or in most cases make their entire meal free. They were proud to share his ‘hack’ for getting free meals and said have done this many many times,” revealed the post.

Moreover, the user added that the couple seemingly engages in this behaviour for amusement, as they do not appear to be financially constrained. Further clarifying in the comment section, the user specified that the alleged couple are not acquaintances but individuals he encountered at a friend’s house party.
