'Hurt My Religious Sentiments': Zomato Customer Orders Paneer Biryani in Pune, Finds Chicken in it
Man finds a piece of chicken in paneer biryani ordered from Zomato, calls it a 'sin' despite getting refund for the same.

Why is it so challenging for restaurants to maintain trust and integrity in their operations nowadays? This is precisely what the Zomato customer must have felt when he discovered a small piece of chicken in the paneer biryani he had ordered online. Expressing his frustration to ‘X’, Pankaj Shukla criticised both the food delivery app and the restaurant for disregarding his religious beliefs.

He posted a video showing the chicken piece removed from his rice and shared a close-up picture for evidence. Although he mentioned receiving a refund after lodging a complaint about the incident at Pune’s P K Biryani House, Shukla emphasised how it offended his religious sentiments as a pure vegetarian.

“Ordered paneer biryani from pk biryani house karve nagar pune maharashtra and I found a chicken piece in it(I am a vegetarian) I already got refund but this is still a sin since I am a religious person and it has hurt my religious sentiment,” he wrote.

The post quickly went viral, prompting responses from the public. “Buy only from pure veg ones. Never buy anything from veg-nonveg combined eatery. Simple as that!” one comment read. Another echoed, “Please never ever order from from non veg restaurant again if ur religious.” Meanwhile, a third offered a different perspective, stating, “Mistake do happen in very busy and hot pressure kitchen. Only the kitchen cooks knows how much pressure is on them to give food in time. If you are so religious you shouldn’t have ordered from non veg restaurant.”

A fourth commenter added, “People who are giving gyaan to order from non veg restaurant, That pk biriyani is serving veg food as well correct? If so, any people who is not even religious can choose to order a veg dish but if he or she is taking a bite of chicken then its crime.”
