Delhi Metro: Man Beaten Up For Trying to Calm Fight At Station, Revokes 'Mujhe Kyu Toda' Meme
Delhi man tries to diffuse heated altercation between two others at a metro station, here's what happened next.

Imagine stepping in to calm a heated dispute between two strangers, only to find yourself at the receiving end of unexpected consequences. This scenario played out recently at a Delhi Metro station, where an elderly bystander intervened in a brawl between two men at a ticket counter. Instead of diffusing the tension, he became the unintended target of one man’s aggression, leading to an unexpected twist that has since become a source of amusement on the internet.

The video, posted on ‘X’ by the account ‘Ghar Ke Kalesh’, starts with a tense scene at a Delhi Metro station. Two men are embroiled in a heated fistfight near the ticket counter, amidst a flurry of slaps, shoves, and punches. Amidst the chaos, a bystander from another queue attempts to intervene and calm the situation. However, one of the fighters pulls him into the altercation, delivering an unexpected slap from behind.

While the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, the video quickly gained viral traction, amassing over a million views and numerous comments. Social media users were quick to weigh in, with many sympathizing with the uncle and calling for justice, while others injected humor into the situation.

Some humorously referenced the iconic ‘Mujhe Kyu Toda’ scene from the movie ‘Welcome’, drawing parallels to the hapless uncle’s intervention.

Take a Look:

“Blue shirt uncle is the reason why people dont intervene in fights to calm them down. Uncle proved it in just one video why we shouldn’t intervene,” quipped one commenter, punctuating their observation with a laughing emoji. Another wondered aloud, “The fight was taking place only between two uncles. Why was the poor third uncle beaten?”

The third one said, “Delhi metro never disappoints,” The fourth added, “Yeh blue shirt bale uncle ko 4 jhapar vapas dena chahiye tha,” amid such humorous remarks that continued to flood in.

As the discussion continued, the video sparked broader reflections on human behaviour and intervention in public conflicts. Just recently, another video surfaced showing an elderly man taking justice into his own hands on the metro and confronting a thief caught red-handed trying to snatch a purse. With bystanders filming the unfolding drama, the elderly man administered a swift and resounding punishment, slapping, hitting, and even kicking the thief.

Despite the thief’s tearful apologies and desperate pleas, the determined passenger remained unmoved, delivering justice with unrelenting fervour. In a poignant moment, the thief grasped the elderly man’s feet, pledging, “Uncle, I will die. I won’t repeat this again.” But the elderly man remained steadfast, his actions sparking a storm of reactions across social media.
