A tennis fan dialled back time as he recreated the iconic marriage proposal with Steffi Graf in Cluj. Steffi recently featured in a doubles tennis match alongside her husband Andre Agassi. The said fixture was an exhibition game for the Cluj Sports Festival. The duo squared off against Simona Halep and Andrei Pavel at the BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca.
During one moment of the game, Steffi could be seen preparing for a serve. Just as she was about to hit the ball, a fan quickly asked, “Steffi will you marry me?” The hilarious question left the entire stadium and the tennis icon in splits. She quickly jogged out of the tennis court and signalled a ‘No’ with her hands before preparing for the serve once again. A sports page shared a clip of this hilarious moment on Instagram.

The clip doesn’t end there. As Graf prepared for her serve again, she quickly pointed towards her husband Andre Agassi. The female tennis legend ensured that the fans she was married. Agassi, a tennis icon himself, turned towards Steffi and gave her a warm smile before resuming their game. Fans have now reacted to the hilarious moment, pouring down their replies in the comments section. One of them repeated Steffi’s golden answer from the past and said, “How much money do you have?”
Another jokingly added, “Do you have more money than my husband?”
One talked about how every tennis fan wanted to get married to the tennis icon. “Everybody wanted to marry Stef G.”
Another highlighted how her husband was right in front. “Andre is right there,” he wrote.

In that clash, Steffi faced Kimiko Date while pursuing a seventh title. During the match, a spectator shouted, “Steffi, will you marry me?” The hilarious marriage request drew a laugh from the crowd and Steffi herself. Once the crowd settled down, the tennis icon had a perfect reply for the fan. “How much money do you have?” she said. The response drew an even bigger roar from the crowd. As for Graf’s marriage, the tennis icon tied the knot with Men’s Tennis legend Agassi in 2001, two years after their relationship had gone viral.
