But what’s the reason? As per a report by 9To5Google, it has been shifted due to the One UI 6.1.1, the upgrade, which debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, is expected to make its way to more Samsung smartphones in the coming weeks, bringing additional Galaxy AI functions and more. But the rollout of the same is yet to begin. Thus, the reason behind the delay of One UI 7 appears to be that it would reduce the impact of One UI 6.1.1.
Samsung has not given any statement regarding this development and it has also not announced any new launch date for the One UI 7 beta update.
As per the report, the One UI 7 is likely to mark a significant shift in Samsung's design language, with several components appearing to be borrowed from Apple's iOS. Also, Max Jumbor, who initially reported the July 29 launch date, wrote on X that those who got early access to the One UI 7 Beta called it “very buggy.”
Samsung intends to include a pill-shaped feature for system apps on the home screen, similar to Apple's Dynamic Island. However, instead of being in the top center of the screen, this function might be placed on the left side of a phone's notification area. Also, in the upcoming update, users can expect smoother animations and a two-page notification panel.
Samsung has also recently introduced a new auto-blocker feature that prevents individuals from installing applications downloaded from unknown or third-party sources.
