Any science student in the country would be aware of the name HC Verma and how his book named 'Concepts of Physics' has been a book to swear by while learning Physics and its various concepts. Through the years, Dr Harish Chandra Verma, the well-known Indian experimental physicist, has guided millions of Physics students across the country through his books. A professor at the Indian Institute of Technology - Kanpur, Dr HC Verma has recently revealed through a post on Facebook that the physics mastermind has ended his official duties as an IIT professor after 38 years of official teaching and research.
Apart from his much popular book, 'Concepts of Physics', Dr HC Verma has also authored a book named 'Quantum Physics', while carrying forward his research in Nuclear Physics. For the socio-economic cause, the physics legend has co-founded initiatives like 'Shiksha Sopan', 'School Physics Project', 'Utsahi Physics Teacher' which were aimed to help the economically weaker sections.
Social media reacted in a much expected way by sending in words of respect and thankfulness for the man.
