Microsoft starts rolling out Windows 10 upgrade reservations
The upcoming Windows 10 will be available worldwide on July 29 as a free upgrade for users of the most recent versions of Windows.

New Delhi: If you are watching a windows icon on the systems tray, you are getting Microsoft's silent reservation option for the Windows 10 update.

As soon as the icon is clicked, a pop-up opens and advises on the update. It says the update will download once available. After the download process is complete, the user can choose to install it any time of their choice.

The menu also takes the user through a slideshow of Windows 10 features. Microsoft will ask for an e-mail address and then advise you to wait for the update.

Microsoft announced on Monday that the upcoming Windows 10 will be available worldwide on July 29, as a free upgrade for users of the most recent versions of Windows.

However, those still running the counterfeit versions of the older OS will have to shell out $199 for a Windows 10 Pro version, while the Home edition will cost $119.

Windows 10 packs in it a new Edge browser, support for Dolby Audio, new Media centre, a flip the bird emoji, among other features.
