In an apparent dig at the AAP, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Wednesday said BJP's impressive show in the MCD polls is a "lesson" for those crying foul over EVMs and asked it to respect people's mandate.

Polling for 270 out of 272 wards across three corporations was held on April 23 which saw a voter turnout of 53.58%. ​

The BJP slogan, too, aimed to disaasociate from its less-than-satisfactory performance in the MCD —‘Nayi urja, naye chehre, nayi udaan.
