Yechury also pointed out that alliances are forged only after poll results.
New Delhi: If Rahul Gandhi hinted at a possible poll alliance between the Congress party and the Left, the Left has not completely denied the possibility.
Though Left leader Sitaram Yechury reiterated that there will be no alliance with the Congress, he also underlined the fact that in the past, the government formed at the Centre has been one of stitched up alliances, every time.
“It is only after elections that an alliance could be formed to make governments,” said Yechury.
Yechury also said that Congress’ toying with the options of a possible alliance with Left after the third phase of polling is an admission of Congress’ realisation that they are not in a position to form government at the Centre.
