TN: Law and order situation deteriorating, says Stalin
Stalin claimed though government was announcing a slew of schemes and projects, particularly in the power front, there was no money for implementing these projects.

Udhagamandalam: Describing the AIADMK rule as "anti-people", DMK leader MK Stalin on Sunday alleged that law and order situation in Tamil Nadu was deteriorating with increase in murder and other crimes, particularly in the last few months. Contesting the statistics given in the State Assembly, Stalin read out statistics from the State Crime Bureau and claimed that the murder, theft, rape and other crimes were on the rise in the past few months in Tamil Nadu.

Addressing a public meeting, as part of the party's direct contact programme with public, the former deputy chief minister said frequent changes of ministers and transfers of officials and bureaucrats were the major achievements of AIADMK rule in the last two years. He said as opposition party members were not allowed to speak in the state assembly and present the problems of the people, he was directly reaching out to people through such meetings, Stalin said.

He claimed though government was announcing a slew of schemes and projects, particularly in the power front, there was no money for implementing these projects. "During the minority DMK government, as always termed by Jayalalithaa, there was only two to three hours of power cut, whereas it is more than 12 to 14 hours now," he said.
