New Govt in Goa to present first budget on March 21
The government sources had said that there would an expansion of the cabinet after the session.

Panaji: The Manohar Parrikar-led Goa government will table its first budget on March 21, and is expected to implement several of the election promises through it.

Parrikar, who took the oath as Chief Minister on Friday, chaired the first cabinet meeting with all the five ministers present.

It was decided that budget would be presented on March 21.

"The presentation will be of the full budget, but we are going for vote on account for next 3-4 months," Parrikar told after the meeting.

The budget session of the Assembly will start on March 19, and the newly elected legislators will take the oath of secrecy on the first day.

Governor K Sankaranarayanan will address the house on March 20. The BJP-led alliance has already nominated Mahadev Naik as the pro-tem speaker.

Election for the Speaker's post would be held during the session.
