State secretary and minister CP Rai has already sent his resignation to the Samajwadi Party leadership.

In entire party is in a shock following BJP's superlative performance in the state where the Narendra Modi powered it to 73 seats with Samajwadi Party winning just 5 seats.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will also attend the meeting along with other senior leaders to discuss the poor performance of the ruling party.

The party is already under pressure with the BJP demanding resignation of Akhilesh Yadav.
