Lucknow: Faced with a rout in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav is meeting senior party leaders Lucknow to review the party's performance in the Lok Sabha polls. Mulayam is likely to act tough against those Samajwadi Party ministers in whose areas the party fared very badly.
State secretary and minister CP Rai has already sent his resignation to the Samajwadi Party leadership.
In entire party is in a shock following BJP's superlative performance in the state where the Narendra Modi powered it to 73 seats with Samajwadi Party winning just 5 seats.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will also attend the meeting along with other senior leaders to discuss the poor performance of the ruling party.
The party is already under pressure with the BJP demanding resignation of Akhilesh Yadav.
