New Delhi: Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal's comments calling for FIRs against 14 ministers rocked Parliament on Monday. Team Anna got it left and right in Parliament as politicians hit out at Arvind Kejriwal for accusing them of corruption and mocking them.
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said, "Leaders are being mocked by Team Anna. They are insulting the leaders. We condemn Team Anna for their comments on Sunday."
Claiming that Kejriwal was backed by the Ford foundation, CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta said, "Kejriwal is not God. Kejriwal gets money from Ford foundation. He should show proof to back his allegations."
Congress minister Ambika Soni, "The UPA government is doing its best to eliminate corruption. If Anna Hazare, or anyone else makes accusations, the charges will be probed."
Addressing protestors on Sunday, Kejriwal took the names of around 25 politicians, including ministers Sharad Pawar, SM Krishna, P Chidambaram, Praful Patel, Kapil Sibal, Kamal Nath, Farooq Abdullah, Ajit Singh, Sri Prakash Jaiswal, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Vilasrao Deshmukh, MK Azhagiri and GK Vasan.
"If the Lokpal Bill comes into force, FIRs will be lodged against 14 ministers of the Union Government," he said.
"Who will punish people like them? Delhi Police or the CBI? No one knows because these people will never pass Lokpal Bill," Kejriwal said.
