Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday briefly exchanged pleasentaries with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray at the swearing-in ceremony of Devendra Fadnavis. Thackeray attended the event after BJP President Amit Shah and Fadnavis reached out to him and assured him that BJP will consider Shiv Sena's demands for top posts in the state government.

"I had called Uddhav Thackeray. I was very happy that shiv sena came today for the ceremony. A very constructive discussion has taken place about government formation. Our talks are going on. We will make sure the talks are conclusive," Fadnavis said.

When asked Thackeray about the meeting he said, "No decision on joining government yet, whenever we make a decision we will let you know."
