Lok Sabha Speaker rejects resignation of 13 Seemandhra MPs

New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has not accepted the resignation of 13 Seemandhra MPs. According to the Speaker's office, no resignation has been accepted.

Thirteen MPs from Seemandhra region of Andhra Pradesh had earlier resigned opposing the creation of Telangana. They were insisting that the Speaker should accept their resignations.

Congress MP from Vijayawada L Rajagopal had even gone to the Delhi High Court asking it to instruct the Speaker to accept his resignation.
