Kochi: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Leader M Venkaiah Naidu rolled out humorous rhymes in taking a dig at his political opponents while talking to mediapersons at Nedumbassery in Ernakulam District.
Making a point the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was withering with a number of partners leaving the grouping, Naidu said, "UPA has now become NPA (Non Performing Asset)."
''TRS has taken VRS from UPA, BSP — bahut door ho gaya (has gone very far), Lalu Prasad said 'Lal salaam', Left Parties have left, Ram Vilas Paswan says 'Ram, Ram' and Sharad Pawar says 'share power with me I am with you'," Naidu added.
Taking cue from the adage 'laughter is the best medicine', Naidu, speaking on the 'Third Front,' said "it was a parking lot".
"After the purpose is served, some will go right, some will go left, some straight and some reverse their direction,'' he added.
Terming the Union Government was weak, Naidu repeated the 'joke of Delhi': "Prime Minister proposes and Madam disposes".
He related the joke to the tumultous political climate in Kerala by saying "Chief Minister Achuthanandan proposes and CPI(M) State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan disposes."
On the precarious situation of the State Government, Naidu said, "one step forward, three step backwards and the situation is awkward".
Giving a hilarious tinge to the State Government's inaction on those having terror links, Naidu said "when (terrorists) are violent, the government is silent".
