"The accused is roaming freely and the person who is not guilty is in jail." Kejriwal wrote in the letter.

New Delhi: After being sent to 14-day judicial custody in the defamation case filed by senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal on Friday wrote letters to his supporters from Tihar.

The AAP leader also asked his supporters to give his letter in each and every home and tell people that he has not done anything wrong. "The accused is roaming freely and the person who is not guilty is in jail." Kejriwal wrote in the letter.

Another AAP leader Manish Sisodia said that Kejriwal will keep raising his voice against corruption. "Arvind Kejriwal will keep raising his voice against corruption no matter whatever consequences he faces," he said.

Kejriwal, a former Delhi chief minister, was sent to Tihar Jail after he refused to sign a personal bond of Rs 10,000 as directed by the court.

The court of metropolitan magistrate Gomati Manocha observed that Kejriwal's personal bond would only be encashed only if he failed to appear before the court on the next hearing on June 6 but he refused to do so.

The court also asked him to challenge its order sending him to jail before a higher court after Kejriwal questioned its decision.
