The hanging of Rajiv Gandhi's assassins was stayed by the Madras High Court in August.
Chennai: DMK Chief Karunanidhi on Thursday appealed to the Centre to release former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi's assassins.
Three of the assassins of the former prime minister have been in jail for 20 years.
The hanging of the killers was earlier slated in August. However, it was stayed by the Madras High Court.
The former Tamil Nadu chief minister appealed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to look into the plea to release them.
