New Delhi: Hundreds of Indian Youth Congress (IYC) members on Wednesday raised their voice against Union HRD minister Smriti Irani for 'ineffectively' handling the Rohit Vemula suicide case in Hyderabad and arrests of Jawahralal Nehru University (JNU) students on sedition charges.
The agitated members will march from Jantar Mantar to the Parliament. "Youth Congress will march to Parliament on Wednesday against HRD Minister Smriti Irani and NDA government," SAID IYC President Amarinder Raja Brar.
He said, "Anti-dalit student stand by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) killed Rohith Vemula. Indian Youth Congress not going to tolerate this."

He alleged that Smriti Irani and the Modi government are spreading misleading information about Dalit scholar Rohith Vemula's suicide.
The protest march was joined by Congress leaders and students from various universities across Delhi. Rohith's mother Radhika was also present in the rally.
