Former policeman creates ruckus in Jaitley's press conference
Jaitley faced a peculiar situation at press conference after an ex-policeman started raising pro-Khalistan slogans.

Amritsar: Arun Jaitley faced a peculiar situation at his press conference on Thursday after a suspended police officer started raising pro-Khalistan slogans and asked the BJP leader to clear his stand on supporting SAD, whose chief he claimed had paid tribute to founder of the Khalistan movement Jagjit Singh Chohan Singh in Punjab Assembly.

The former policeman, Jaswant Singh, appeared in the press meet and started shouting slogans demanding Khalistan, however, he also raised slogans against terrorism.

Singh asked Jaitley to clarify his and BJP's stand on the issue of terrorism, to which Jaitley replied, "We are against terrorism".

Then he asked Jaitley, why he and his party are supporting the SAD government led by Parkash Singh Badal, who in 2007 had paid tribute to Khalistan founder Jagjit Singh Chohan in the Punjab Assembly.

Visibly perturbed Jaitley asked him to give it in writing and Singh did so.

However, Jaitley refused to make any comment on the issue.

Singh also urged Jaitley for his reinstatement in Punjab police as he was dismissed on "frivolous ground" for allegedly raising his voice against Punjab government for honouring Chohan on the floor of the House in 2007.
