The Bill will be placed in the public domain for comments and suggestions next week.
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said a draft bill for full statehood for the national capital is ready.
"Draft bill for statehood of Delhi ready. Will be soon placed in public domain for comments and suggestions from the public," the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader tweeted.
The Bill will be placed in the public domain for comments and suggestions next week, government sources said.
After getting public clearance, the draft bill will be sent to the state cabinet for approval and then will be placed in the assembly, sources added.
Kejriwal has been pushing for full statehood status for Delhi as he contends that it will help him implement his plans in a better way in the city.
