New Delhi: The JD(U) leader in Rajya Sabha Shivanand Tiwari on Thursday said that directive principle of constitution should have been kept in mind while framing the Lokpal Bill.
The directive principles of state policy are guidelines to the central and state governments, to be kept in mind while framing laws and policies.
Tiwari said that Lokpal is about punishing the corrupt, but the question is, does this law stop corruption.
He also said that a part of corruption is due to inequality, misuse of position by people in authority.
