Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Andhra Pradesh State Election Committee meeting will be held in Hyderabad on Monday to finalise the second list of candidates for Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.
After finalisation the names of candidates will be sent to central leadership for approval, state BJP Chief Bandaru Dattatreya said in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The party has already released first list of candidates for eight parliamentary and 43 Assembly seats in the state.
He expressed hope that the BJP would emerge as a decisive force in the state after the elections next month.
Meanwhile, 30 district level leaders from different parties including a Supreme Court lawyer and seven village sarpanchs from Medak, Adilabad and Krishna districts joined the BJP on Saturday.
P Nirup Reddy, Supreme court lawyer and son of former speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, P Ramachandra Reddy was among those who joined the party.
Reddy hails from Sangareddy in Nedak district.
