With just few weeks remaining for the IPL mini auction, the 10 franchises are gearing up for what promises to be an exciting affair considering how the retention deadline day transpired.
Plenty of big names were let go of by franchises leaving them with some big boots to fill.
The likes of Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga, Jofra Archer, Josh Hazlewood, Shardul Thakur, Shahrukh Khan, Harry Brook, Lockie Ferguson, Jason Holder, Dasun Shanaka will be back in the auction after being released by their respective franchises.
A day after the deadline day, Mumbai Indians announced the return of star allrounder to their fold from Gujarat Titans where he spent two seasons as captain.
With Pandya joining MI, the five-time IPL winners traded rising star Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Thanks to the two trades on Tuesday, the remaining purse of each of MI, RCB and GT has undergone change.
Here’s the updated purse of all the 10 franchises.
Mumbai Indians: After the deadline day, MI were left with Rs 15.25 crore. They traded Cameron Green to RCB for Rs 17.5 crore and bought Pandya for 15 crore. The couple of trades have seen their remaining purse rise to Rs 17.75 crore.
Gujarat Titans: The 2022 champions had Rs 23.15 crore remaining after the retention day. After selling Pandya to MI, they have seen their purse rise to a whopping Rs 38.15 crore.
Royal Challengers Bangalore: RCB has the highest purse remaining among all the teams. However, after shelling out Rs 17.5 crore on Green, they are now left with Rs 23.25 crore.
The IPL auction will be held in Dubai which is the first time the event is being conducted outside of India.
