Honor 90 5G First Impressions: Honor on Thursday launched its new smartphone — the Honor 90 5G in India, The device comes with features, including a 200MP main camera, a 5,000 mAh battery, a 50MP selfie camera, and Android 13-based Magic OS.

In India, you can purchase the Honor 90 5G, with the base 8GB + 256GB variant starting at Rs. 37,999, while the 12GB + 512GB storage model is available for Rs. 39,999. The company has also announced offers as well. Early-bird customers have the opportunity to buy the Honor 90 5G at special prices of Rs 27,999 and Rs 29,999, respectively.

Honor 90 5G First Impressions

Let’s start with colour options and design. The Honor 90 5G is available in three colours, we have the emerald green variant. The smartphone has a sleek and premium design and comes with a glossy glass back. The sleek design can impress young buyers. The overall look is quite good.

With a weight of just 183 grams, the Honor 90 5G is a lightweight smartphone and easy to handle. Moreover, the back surface remains free from fingerprint marks. Overall, I’m impressed with the design. The device has quad-curved edges. The right side houses, the power button and volume rockers. At the bottom edge, you will get a Type-C USB port, speaker grill, microphone, and dual sim slot.

The Honor 90 5G comes with a 6.7-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with 120Hz, refresh rate. The display has 3840HZ PWM dimming technology which helps against eye fatigue. Colours are coming bright on the screen. Even in lowlights, the brightness of Honor 90 5G is really impressive. The display offers smooth scrolling and a decent viewing experience. So far, I have zero complaints about the display.

Honor 90 5G has a triple rear camera setup, including a 200MP main camera, a 12MPultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. For video calls and selfies, the device features a 50MP front camera. The device comes with some impressive, built-in camera features. I had the chance to touch a few of them and found the portrait and night mode quite impressive. Even in artificial lighting conditions, the selfie taken in portrait mode appeared sharp and clear.

Let’s talk about some specifications now, the Honor 90 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. The device runs Android 13-based Magic OS 7.1, The OS is clean and user-friendly. The Honor 90 5G is packed with a large 5000 mAh battery. The handset can last more than a day during normal usage.

Talking about the cons, it is worth noting that the Honor 90 5G lacks an IP rating for water and dust resistance, and it also does not come equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Overall, the device looks promising and we’ll share an in-depth review of the Honor 90 5G soon.
