In a horrifying incident, an 11-year-old boy sustained an injury on his right eye allegedly after a miscreant burst a firecracker on the road. The incident took place in Delhi’s Shastri Park area. A video of the same has surfaced on social media. According to reports, the Delhi police has registered an FIR under sections 286 and 337 of the Indian Penal Code at Shashtri Park police station.

The video which is being widely circulated on social media shows a firecracker going up in the air right when the boy was standing there. Here, have a look at the viral video:

The police said, “On October 15, at about 8:00 pm, while the boy was walking to his home near the main road, Shastri Park, some unknown person burst a firecracker on the road. The boy sustained an injury to his right eye.”
It further added, “A case of negligent conduct with respect to an explosive substance and causing harm by an act endangering life has been registered in this regard.”
The police are making efforts to identify the culprit. “CCTV footage in the area is being scanned,” police explained.

Meanwhile, earlier, a few unidentified men from Gurugram were arrested for bursting crackers from their car. A video of the incident went viral on social media and gathered massive backlash. It all happened at the Golf Course Road, one of the most posh localities in Gurugram. In the video, you can see crackers bursting from the inside of a moving car’s bonnet. According to a Gurugram police official, a probe has been launched after they received a 14-second video which was widely shared on the social media platforms.
