Ganesh Chaturthi began on September 19, and like every year, people are celebrating Ganeshotsav with great enthusiasm. Bollywood celebrities are no exception in this case. B-Town celebs, including Shilpa Shetty, Manish Malhotra, Arpita Khan and many others have welcomed lord Ganesha home with dhol beats while many celebrities were spotted at the pandals seeking blessing from lord Ganesha on the occasion.

One of the power couples of Bollywood, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Dsouza have left the internet in awe with their ‘recycled Bappa’. This year, instead of choosing to go with traditional clay idols, the couple went ahead and made the idol of lord Ganesha from scratch with metal scrap.

In the video shared by Riteish on Instagram, he can be seen sorting metal pieces from the junk at a warehouse with his sons, Riaan and Rahyl. In the video, his children were singing the Ganesh Aarti as they looked adorable in floral pink kurta pyjamas.

In the glimpses, Riteish is assembling the metal pieces while Genelia is amused with the ongoing work. The boys were helping while making the idol with great enthusiasm. The final statue made out of metal is shown using all the metal scrap. In the end, Riteish and Genelia can be seen doing the arti.

“Ganapati Baba Morya! Ganesh Chaturthi Hardik Shubecha! Every year, we make our own Eco friendly Ganesha. Riaan & Rahyl insisted we make a recycled Bappa from scrap!!! We had a great time making this together…”, he wrote in the caption of the post.

Riteish also thanked sculptor Arzan Khambatta for helping him.

Fans and friends have loved the video and have reacted to the video in the comments section. Actor Arun Rampal added multiple red heart emojis and wrote, “Awesome. Jai Ganesha.” Sunil Shetty also reacted with a red heart emoji. Actor Rohit Bose Roy said, “How pretty Skip… god bless the kids.”

Apart from Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Dsouza, Rajkummar Rao and his wife Patralekhaa also celebrated an eco-friendly celebration at their home. “Ganapati Bappa Moraya. Wish you all a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi. May Lord Ganesha Bless us All,” Rajkummar Rao wrote in the caption of the post

Meanwhile, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Dsouza were last seen in the Marathi blockbuster film Ved breaking some major box office records in the Marathi film industry.
