Krushna Abhishek Credits Wife Kashmera Shah For His Success, Calls Rohit Shetty His ‘Godfather’

Krushna Abhishek is one of the most well-known comedians in the country and has had an illustrious career on television and in films so far. He recently reminisced about his initial days in the industry and stated that his wife, Kashmera Shah, is his biggest supporter. He shared how she motivated him to take a step forward in his career and reach the stature he has today. Moreover, he mentioned why he considers filmmaker Rohit Shetty his godfather in the industry.

In conversation with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, on their podcast, Krushna Abhishek recalled his first meeting with his wife, Kashmera Shah, on the sets of the film Pappu Paas Ho Gaya, in which she played the major role. Moving forward, Krushna described how Kashmera helped him while he was performing in Bhojpuri films and earned only three lakhs after thirty days of hard work. The actor expressed, “She has been like a pillar for me. Main jo aaj popular hua, television mien mujhe lane wali hi Kashmera thi. (The one who introduced me to the television industry and made me popular today was Kashmera).”

Krushna shared that while his father was happy with what he was earning in the Bhojpuri industry, Kashmera motivated him to leave it and try television, where he could earn significantly more. He stated, “Kashmera jo thi usne mujhe kaha, ki ek din ayega tu ek din mien 25 lakh rupay kamayega (Kashmera once told me that there would come a day when you would earn 25 lakh rupees in a day).” Krushna was initially sceptical, but her prediction turned out to be accurate. He also stated that Kashmera had a strong faith in him, even when he doubted himself. Krushna emphasised that Kashmera has a hand in his success.

Apart from his wife, Krushna credits his achievements to everyone who assisted him, especially director Rohit Shetty. He lauded Shetty for assisting him in making the move from television to film, referring to him as his godfather. The actor stated that Rohit Shetty is a “man of his words.” He was astounded when the filmmaker, after promising to cast him in a film when he graced an episode of Comedy Circus, not only kept his word but also ensured Krushna played a big role in the film. Krishna was part of Bol Bachchan. He said, “I owe everything to, I really love Rohit Sir. Matlb main unke liye hamesha dua karta hun ke wo jaha rahe unki films superhit ho (I always pray for him that wherever he is, his films are superhit).”

Krushna Abhishek is well-known in the Indian entertainment industry, having played humorous parts on Comedy Circus, Comedy Nights Bachao, and The Kapil Sharma Show. In addition to television, he has had a tremendous impact on Bollywood, with films such as Entertainment, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum 3, and Bol Bachchan, among others.
