DKB's Teo Quits Boy Band Following Drunk Driving Incident
In an elaborate note released on November 5, Brave Entertainment shared that DKB’s lead vocalist Teo has quit the boy band following his drunk driving incident. On October 30, Teo was caught by the police driving his vehicle while intoxicated.

K-pop star and South Korean singer-songwriter Teo has quit his boy group band DKB — their agency Brave Entertainment confirmed. He will no longer be associated with the band’s management company Brave Entertainment. The decision was taken following Teo’s drunk driving incident. On October 30, Teo was caught by the police driving his vehicle while intoxicated. It not only caused his license to be revoked but Teo had to say goodbye to DKB and its members — Harry June, Yuku, Junseo, Heechan, E-Chan, D1, GK, and Lune. On November 5, Brave Entertainment released a statement declaring Teo’s departure from DKB. The news has left DKB fans heartbroken.

In an elaborate note, Brave Entertainment shared the announcement of Teo’s departure from DKB through the band’s official fan cafe, cited Soompi. It read, “Hello. This is Brave Entertainment. First, we would like to apologize for delivering the unfortunate news to fans who support DKB. We confirmed that on October 30, our agency’s artist Teo was caught by the police for drunk driving and got his license revoked. We told Teo that drunk driving is absolutely unacceptable behaviour regardless of the reason, and after careful discussion with him, we accepted his opinion that he could not cause harm to the group and decided to have Teo leave the team. Teo is currently deeply reflecting on his immature actions.”

“As we are keenly aware of the seriousness and responsibility of this matter, we will do our best to manage and educate our artists in the future. We apologize again for causing concern to fans,” the statement continued. On a concluding note, Brave Entertainment added that DKB would now be performing as an eight-member team, carrying on with their future activities. The company assured that the boy band will be returning with “more mature music and performances”. Until then, they requested fans to continue showering their love and support on the eight DKB members who were trying to make a “comeback despite difficult circumstances”.

Teo — the main vocalist of DKB admitted his mistake by penning a handwritten note, apologising to his fans, DKB members, and the staff for his actions. An excerpt of what he wrote was, “I once again bow my head in apology to everyone who has shown so much love to me for my shortcomings. Going forward, I will reflect deeply and reflect on myself”. His note was shared on Reddit.
