Dia Mirza is quite a nature lover and has time and again spoken out in a bid to preserve the wildlife. Recently, she was on a vacation in the heart of the jungle with her husband, Vaibhav Rekhi, and son, Avyaan. The family toured Gir National Park, and they had an adventurous time spotting some rare sights. Dia Mirza looked quite the traveller, sporting full outdoor gear and handling the camera like a pro.

Sharing some candid glimpses from her tour, Dia Mirza wrote, “May be I was waiting for my Simba to arrive so I could finally witness the magic of Gir National Park. Completely enraptured by every moment spent in this sanctuary. So much more to explore. Will share more soon.” She also acknowledged their guides Tapan Sheth, Aman Sharma who could be seen in one of the pictures. The actress looked glad amid the picturesque landscapes and lush green forest. In one of the videos, her son could be seen making noises like a lion and enjoying his time on the tour.

The actress also shared pictures of a lion family as two cubs happily played with their mother. There was another close-up of the two adorable cubs, and they looked straight. She posted candid shots of her son happily looking out at the wild animals.

Her fans were quite happy to see some glimpses from her vacation. A fan wrote, “Beautiful animals you captured so wild GOOD pictures,” another commented, “How cute your son is ma’am.”

Dia Mirza was chosen ‘Person of the Year 2023’ by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India. The title was bestowed upon her by an animal rights non-profit organisation in recognition of her “commitment to ending the use of animals in circuses” and other accomplishments. PETA India stated “Her fervent campaign against the exploitation of wild animals for their skins and her unwavering support for adopting homeless animals, among other efforts to protect living, feeling beings,” made her the recipient of this honour.

The actress was last seen in the movie Dhak Dhak along with Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanjana Sanghi. The actress was also part of the film Bheed directed by Anubhav Sinha. She was also part of the second season of the popular OTT show Made In Heaven.
