Aamir Khan is currently making headlines as reports are claiming that the superstar will move base to Chennai for a few months to take care of his mother. As per a report by The Indian Express, Aamir Khan’s mother, Zeenat Hussain is currently undergoing medical treatment in a private facility in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Thus, Aamir will relocate to Chennai to take care of her.
The report mentioned that Aamir had booked a hotel near the medical facility already. However, there is no confirmation from the actor yet. In October 2023, Aamir’s mother suffered a heart attack. Aamir, who is very close to his mother, mentioned at an event recently that he intended to take a break from acting to spend some time with his mother and kids Ira, Junaid and Azad.
At a press event in Mumbai, Aamir said, “When I am doing a film as an actor, I get so lost in that that nothing else happens in my life. I was supposed to do a film after Laal Singh Chaddha called Champions. It’s a wonderful script, a beautiful story, and it’s a very heartwarming and lovely film. But I feel that I want to take a break and be with my family, my mom, and my kids.”
Aamir earlier spoke to News18 and said, “I was venting my anger on cinema because I thought this is what has pulled me away from my family. So, I was needlessly venting anger on cinema and myself. I told everyone at home, ‘Abhi mera kaam ho gaya, ab main aapke saath time bitaunga (I am done with my work. Now I want to spend my time with you).”
Meanwhile, Aamir has also announced his next film Sitaare Zameen Par featuring Genealia D’Souza. The film will be produced by Aamir, who will also produce Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies and Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore, 1947.
