The highly anticipated superhero team-up, Deadpool & Wolverine, is just a week away from its global release. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are going all out to promote their Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project, attending fan events across various locations. Although they couldn’t visit India, they made sure to acknowledge their Indian fans. Earlier, they thrilled fans by mentioning Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh and Rohit Sharma in an interview. Recently, the duo shared a heartfelt message for their Indian supporters, making it extra special by speaking in Hindi.
Marvel India shared a video on Instagram featuring Jackman and Reynolds greeting desi fans by saying “Namaste India,” and urging them to watch the upcoming MCU movie on the big screen. Hugh excitedly announced, “It’s time Deadpool and Wolverine made their way into the MCU,” while Reynolds added, “Ohh yes and your hearts actually.” Hugh then reminded fans, “26th of July, scratch your calendars.” Ryan continued saying, “Go book your tickets, right now.” The two action stars ended the video in Hindi saying, “Phaad denge sabki,” leaving fans thrilled and eager for the movie. The page captioned, “You heard the men. PHAAD DO SABKI. Just 1 Week to Go for Marvel Studios’ Deadpool and Wolverine to hit the cinemas.”
In an earlier interview with Indian content creators, Hugh Jackman expressed his interest in working with Shah Rukh Khan and mentioned, “I’ve had a lot of conversations over the years with Shah Rukh Khan, but you never know, one day.” Ryan Reynolds, who is less familiar with Indian actors praised Ranveer Singh and called him “amazing.” He added, “He did the voice of Deadpool, I think. He is very funny and also ripped.” Turning to Hugh, Ryan added, “You think you are in shape? This guy makes you look like the Crypt-Keeper. He is amazing.”
During the same conversation, when the creators spoke with Hugh about cricket and asked about his favourite Indian Cricketer, the Hollywood star compared Rohit Sharma’s T20 World Cup performance with a beast.
Other than Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, the Shawn Levy directorial Deadpool & Wolverine stars Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapicic, Aaron Stanford, Brianna Hildebrand, Tyler Mane, Rob Delaney, Lewis Tan, Jason Flemyng, Kelly Hu and Ray Park.
