The much-anticipated trailer for Koratala Siva’s ‘Devara: Part 1’, starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, was recently released, garnering mixed reactions from audiences. However, it was one particular review by two YouTubers that caught the attention of actor Vishwak Sen, prompting him to voice his strong disapproval.
A video clip shared on the Instagram page Telugu Memes featured a live discussion from a YouTube channel called Ragadi. In the video, the YouTubers highlighted several criticisms of the ‘Devara’ trailer, including a comment on Jr NTR’s appearance and dissatisfaction with a specific scene where he rides a shark. This critique did not sit well with Vishwak, who responded on Instagram.
In a heated comment, Vishwak wrote, “Na Peru karab cheyyadanike puttadu veeedu, fist goda ki support lekunda 2 mins kurcho nuvvu, tharvatha, cinema ni, audience ni uddariddu kani. Kaaalthundhi naku kani, already kalipoyyina face needi em cheddam, nuvve matladali andham gurinchi.” (This man exists to ruin my name. You first sit without taking the support of a wall for 2 minutes, later, you can discuss how to make better cinema for the audience. Just looking at your face makes me mad, so you should be the last one to talk about someone’s looks.) He also clarified that the person he was addressing shares his name, Vishwak, which fueled the intensity of his statement.
For those unfamiliar, Vishwak Sen is a self-proclaimed fan of Jr NTR, who shares a positive relationship with him. Jr NTR has previously praised Vishwak, along with Siddhu Jonnalagadda, as rising stars with the potential to shape the future of the Telugu film industry. At an event, Jr NTR said, “I always believed that Vishwak Sen and Siddhu would play a very instrumental role in taking the industry forward with fresh ideas and content. And looking at them both today, I feel very proud. We need daredevils like these to take the industry to the next level.”
‘Devara: Part 1’ features Jr NTR in the lead role as Varadha, with Saif Ali Khan as Bhaira and Janhvi Kapoor as Thangam. The film’s soundtrack, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, has already released three songs — ‘Fear Song,’ ‘Chuttamalle,’ and ‘Daavudi’ — all of which have received mixed reactions. The first part of ‘Devara’ is set for release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi on September 27.
