It’s a weekend with Singham. The Ajay Devgn film has hopped on the wave of re-releases and has returned to cinemas 13 years after its release. Several fans are heading to the cinema halls to re-watch Singham. News18 Showsha has now learnt that a few lucky fans stand a chance at greeting Ajay Devgn and Singham director, Rohit Shetty. A source informed us that the duo is planning to visit a theatre in the city to surprise fans.
“Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are caught up with the promotions of Singham Again. However, on Saturday, they’ve decided to take a quick detour from the upcoming film’s promotional travel to surprise fans that will be watching Singham on Saturday evening. If all goes well, Ajay sir and Rohit sir will be at Infiniti Mall, heading into a screen playing Singham. They intend to greet fans who will be watching the 5:30 show,” the insider told us exclusively.
The news of Singham re-releasing was announced last week. Rohit Shetty made the announcement last week, via Instagram. He shared a motion poster of the film and wrote, “BEFORE HE COMES WITH HIS FULL FORCE ON DIWALI! Experience how it all began again, Experience the mass again, Experience the euphoria again, Experience SINGHAM once more before SINGHAM AGAIN! Re-Releasing in cinemas on 18th October.”
Singam set up Rohit Shetty’s growing cop universe. The film showed Ajay Devgn as a police officer in Goa who is ready to go to any length to keep his safe. After the massive success of Singham, Rohit and Ajay reunited for Singham 2. The sequel was also a big hit and soon, Rohit explored other cop themed projects such as Simmba and Sooryavanshi. With Singham Again, Rohit Shetty is bringing together all the three cops and is also introducing two new ones – Tiger Shroff and Deepika Padukone – into the cop universe. The film’s trailer has been loved by many and fans are eager to watch the Diwali release.
