Ryan Reynolds Shocks Fans At San Diego Comic Con With Deadpool & Wolverine’s Biggest Secrets
Comic Con’s Hall H attendees were given the surprise screening of Deadpool & Wolverine, but the excitement peaked when Ryan Reynolds welcomed guest stars.

Deadpool & Wolverine has finally hit theatres and fans are losing their minds after witnessing jaw-dropping cameos. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman saved their biggest surprises for Comic Con’s Hall H attendees, where they revealed the surprise stars who appear in the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie. If you haven’t watched the film yet and want to avoid spoilers, it’s best to stop reading now. At the event in San Diego, Reynolds and Jackman were joined by Emma Corrin, director Shawn Levy and Marvel boss Kevin Feige for a special film screening. However, that’s not all, the excitement peaked when Reynolds welcomed guest stars of the movie, including Dafne Keen, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes and Chris Evans on stage.

Reportedly, attendees initially thought they were just going to hear Reynolds, Jackman and the director talking about the new release. But they were in for a big surprise, as the studios had arranged for a secret screening of Deadpool 3. After the credits rolled and the end credits scene appeared, Reynolds and Jackman appeared on stage, who were not alone. An emotional Reynolds introduced Keen as X-23, Garner as Elektra, Tatum as Gambit, Snipes as Blade and Evans, who appeared not as Captain America but as the Human Torch.

Ryan Reynolds was clearly touched by the audience response, expressing how privileged and honoured he feels to share the stage with the OG X-Men, Hugh Jackman. The Logan star further described watching the film with the Hall H audience as one of his most memorable experiences, as he has played Wolverine for 24 years. He thanked director Shawn Levy and Reynolds for letting him play the superhero role once again. The team didn’t want to share their excitement alone, so they brought the entire cameo cast on stage, who received loudest cheers from the crowd.

When Disney bought Fox in 2017, it opened the door for Marvel icons like Deadpool, Wolverine, Daredevil, Elektra, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men to join the MCU. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Deadpool & Wolverine makers, especially Reynolds, who co-wrote the film with Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells and Shawn Levy, took full advantage of this merger by bringing back characters from previous films.

The movie also stars Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapicic, Aaron Stanford, Brianna Hildebrand, Tyler Mane, Rob Delaney, Lewis Tan, Jason Flemyng, Kelly Hu and Ray Park.
