Mumbai: Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is "dejected" after the cancellation of the Rafi Peer International Film Festival in Lahore, where three of his films were to be screened.
Bhandarkar's 'Chandni Bar', 'Page 3' and 'Corporate' were supposed to be a part of the film festival, which has been now cancelled due to security concerns.
"Dejected to know Rafi Peer Film Festival in Lahore has been cancelled due to security concerns. Was looking forward to my first visit to Lahore, Pakistan.
"Three of my films were to be screened at the festival. Would have been a big honour. Anyway, another day, another time," Bhandarkar, 46, posted on twitter. The news of cancellation of the fifth edition of the Rafi Peer International Film Festival was announced by organizers via Facebook.
"We regret to inform you that the Rafi Peer International Film Festival has been cancelled due to unforeseen reasons; we apologise for all the inconvenience and shall keep you posted on its next addition scheduled for later this year," the post read.
