Santhanam is a well-known face in the world of the Tamil film industry. The actor started his career as a comedian but later he was seen acting in lead roles in various movies. Recently, a picture from the actor’s wedding album went viral. The fans went buzzing soon after the old marriage picture surfaced on the internet.
In the picture, Santhanam‘s wife Usha was seen wearing a red saree along with heavy marriage jewellery while the actor was seen wearing a navy blue suit. In the photo, the actor can be seen holding a gift while posing with his invitees at the marriage ceremony. The couple got married in 2004. According to reports, the marriage was an arranged marriage. The couple presently is the parents of two children Hasini and Nipun.
Santhanam got his fame after he was seen in the film Lollu Sabha. He made his debut with the film Pesatha Kannum Pesume in which the actor played a small role. Starting his career as a comedian, it is rumoured that he got the inspiration from the works of stand-up comedian Shri Sabreesh Srinivasan.
In 2004, he portrayed the role of Bobby in the film Manmadhan alongside Silambarasan Rajendar. His works were highly praised by his fans. Later, the actor worked with some top stars of the industry including Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith, Surya Sivakumar, Karthi Sivakumar, Jayam Ravi, Arya, etc. He has also done multiple films with Silambarasan.
The 44-year-old actor is best known for portraying the role of Kaatu Poochi in the film Siruthai. His acting in M Rajesh’s comic trilogy including Siva Manasula Sakthi, Boss Engira Bhaskaran and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi was loved by his fans. He also won the Vijay Award for Best Comedian in two consecutive years.
Santhanam was last seen in the movie Vadakkupatti Ramasamy where he played the lead role. Some of his upcoming works include Inga Naan Thaan Kingu, Server Sundaram, Madha Gaja Raja, Boss Engira Baskaran 2 and Amali Thumali.
